Cougars Cruise to 22nd
 Win By Thumping Noble
With their second win in as many nights, the Cougars upped their record to a glittering 22-3 by blasting the visiting Noble Widcats 90-46.
This non-conference victory came much easier than the first one, when the Cougars had to scrap their way to a 12-point decision earlier in the year at Noble.
Nathan Lotz scored 21 points to lead the offensive charge and three other players reached double figures, with ten players in all finding the scoring column.
The first quarter set the tone for the rest of the game as the Cougars stormed out to an overwhelming 26-7 lead. Their defensive pressure was too much for the out-manned Wildcats, forcing them into numerous turnovers for easy points on the offensive end. Lotz led the big scoring blitz with 10 points.
The Cougars cooled off somewhat in the second period, but still maintained a 20-plus point advantage at halftime.
The second half started much like the first and by quarter's end, the Cougars had built a near 40-point lead. Coach Shirley rotated the reserves with the starters for much of the half and many of the reserves picked up their point totals in the final period. Most noteably, Ryan Roberts led the reserves with 8 points, while Matt Hicks was close behind with 7.
The Cougars final regular season game will be this Friday when they host the Dieterich Movin' Maroons. Both are deadlocked at the top of the conference with perfect 6-0 records and the "winner takes all" game will decide this year's regular season MTC champion. It is also "Senior Night" and all the graduating seniors and their parents will be introduced prior to the start of the varsity game.
