Cougars Blast St. Elmo to
Win Fourth Straight Game
The Cougars continued their recent trend of playing solid baseball as they routed the visiting St. Elmo
Eagles 11-1 in five innings on Wednesday evening.
Starting pitcher Aaron Robb evened his record at 1-1 by going the distance allowing 1 run on 3 hits, no walks,
and 8 strikeouts.
The offense cranked out 13 hits led by senior shortstop Will Crain with a single, a double, a triple, and
2 RBI's.
Shea Burton continued his long-ball antics as he clouted a 3-run home run in the home half of the fifth to
end the game via the ten-run rule. He also added a run-scoring double and finished with 4 RBI's.
Lance Schneider also joined in on the fun as he ripped a pair of RBI doubles, while Zac Cain and Aaron
Robb each contributed two singles and an RBI.
The Cougars return to action on Thursday when they travel to Brownstown to battle the Bombers at 4:15 PM.
