The Cougars started their fall season
off on the right foot by winning their first four games with victories over Altamont, Patoka, Stewardson-Strasburg, and
Odin.
In the season opener on Tuesday, the Cougars used solid pitching performances
from Colby Bushue and Luke Krajefska as they combined on a 3-hitter in a 6-2 win over Altamont.
Bushue tossed the first four innings to get the win and Krajefska picked-up
the save with three hitless innings down the stretch.

Armstrong tripled and later scored on an Indian fielding error.
Armstrong came through again in the 5th when he cleared the bases with a 3-run
double to put the Cougars up 4-2. Colton Wilkins then followed with an RBI double to make it a 4-run cushion.
The Cougars scored their final run of the game in the 6th when Larry Schoreck
singled, stole second, and scored on Altamont's fourth error of the day.
