Luke Krajefska pitched a complete-game
shutout and the Cougar bats remained hot in a 6-0 victory over the Dieterich Movin' Maroons on Tuesday afternoon.
Krajefska didn't allow a hit until the Dieterich #9 hitter led off the
bottom of the sixth with a swinging bunt. Then in the 7th, he allowed a double, a walk, and another infield single to
load the bases, but the Maroons couldn't put any runs on the board as the game ended with a popup to centerfield.
For the game, he allowed just the 3 hits on 4 walks and 3 strikeouts.
Offensively, Cole Armstrong, who has just been fire to start the season, stroked
a single and a pair of doubles to up his batting average to .625. He also picked-up another RBI and now has 10 for the
season.
Colton Wilkins plated two runs with a 1st inning single, then went on
to add another single and a double to complete his 3-3 day.
Fischer Tharp, Larry Schoreck, and Heath Hoffmann each contributed to the offensive
outburst with two singles apiece.
The Cougars return to action on Thursday when they travel to Brownstown to
battle the Bombers at 4:30 PM.
