  Cougars Remain Undefeated
With Three More Wins

The Cougars finished off week one of their 2012 fall season with consecutive wins over Patoka, Stew-Stras, and Cisne.

On Wednesday, the Cougars nabbed a 5-1 victory over the visiting Patoka Warriors. Kyle Bray picked up his first varsity win from the mound and Heath Hoffmann, Drake Ritter, and Shawn Meyer collected two hits apiece to lead the offense.

On Thursday, the Cougars traveled to Stew-Stras and rocked the Comets 11-5 for their second conference win.

Dan Diss tossed a complete game for the win, allowing 5 earned runs on 12 hits, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts.

Noah Powless launched his second home run of the season to go along with a double and 4 RBI's to lead Cougar 10-hit attack.

Heath Hoffmann banged out 3 hits, one a double, and finished with 2 RBI's.
On Friday, the Cougars hit the road again when they traveled to Cisne and came away with a 13-6 win.

Powless started and pitched 5 respectable innings to get the win and Shawn Meyer tossed two scoreless innings in relief to record a save.

Powless again paced the offense with a pair of singles, a double, and an RBI. Fischer Tharp, Kyle Bray, Shawn Meyer, and Dylan Smith also had big contributions with two hits each.

The Cougars return to action on Monday when they travel to Bluford to battle the Weber Township Trojans at 4:00 PM.
