Cougars Tack On Two More Wins
The Cougars picked up a pair of wins in week three with a 10-0 NTC victory over St. Elmo and a 5-0 non-conference
win over Odin on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the Cougars remained perfect in the conference at 5-0 as Daniel Diss pitched five hot and humid
innings to get the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, 1 walk, and 6 strikeouts to up his record to 3-0 on the season.
Hitting stars for the game were Dylan Smith, Noah Powless, Kyle Bray, Fischer Tharp, Daniel Diss, and Drake
Ritter with 2 hits apiece.
After a rainout on Wednesday at Noble, the Cougars notched win number nine against the visiting
Odin Eagles on Thursday.
Starting pitcher Kyle Bray picked up the win as he tossed the first four innings allowing no runs on no hits,
no walks, and 7 strikeouts.
Shawn Meyer followed Bray with two scoreless innings and Noah Powless finsished up the 7th with three straight
strikeouts to end the game.
Heath Hoffmann led the way offensively with a sac fly in the first and a two-run double in the fourth. Dylan
Smith stayed red-hot with a pair of singles and Kyle Bray contributed an RBI and two singles.
The Cougars return to action on Saturday when they host Putnam County for two games starting at 4:30 PM.
