Cougars Blank Clay City 2-0
The Cougars rode the pitching arm of Marcus Hicks to a 2-0 victory as they outlasted the host Clay City
Wolves on Tuesday afternoon.
Hicks picked up his first win of the season as he went the distance allowing just one hit on three walks
and nine strikeouts.
On offense, the Cougars banged out seven hits for the game and hit several other balls on the screws, but
the Wolves' defense was up to the task as they made several sparkling plays to thwart the numerous scoring opportunities.
Wade Crain and Shae Burton were the only Cougar hitters with more than one hit while Aaron Robb and Tanner
Bushue were the only ones to capitalize on RBI chances.
The Cougars are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Stew-Stras to take on the Comets.
